Tuition Fees Support

The scholarship includes tuition fee support, enabling recipients to pursue undergraduate studies at recognised institutions of higher learning while easing financial barriers to education.

Living Allowance

A living allowance is provided throughout the academic journey to ease financial pressures and enable recipients to pursue their studies with greater focus and confidence.

Development & Career Opportunities

Recipients may also benefit from development opportunities, including structured internship exposure and potential career pathways within Public Bank Berhad, supporting their professional growth and future aspirations.

Eligibility Criteria


  • Malaysian citizens
  • Aged 18–25 years old
  • Minimum of 5As in SPM or equivalent
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.50 in STPM / Foundation / Matriculation / Diploma or equivalent
  • About to commence or currently pursuing 1st year full-time undergraduate programme at a recognised public or private university in Malaysia
  • Must not be in receipt of financial aid from any other organisation (including PTPTN)
  • Ready to serve employment bond in Public Bank Group of Companies upon completion of study

Is this scholarship open to students of all fields of study?

Yes. Students from all fields of study are welcome to apply. As part of the scholarship terms and conditions, applicants should be prepared to undertake an employment bond with the Public Bank Berhad Group upon completion of their studies.

Can I apply if I'm doing a twinning programme or credit transfer (e.g., UK/Australia transfer programmes)?

Applicants undertaking twinning or credit transfer programmes may apply only if the undergraduate programme is pursued fully at a recognised public or private university in Malaysia. Programmes involving overseas study or transfer arrangements outside Malaysia are not eligible under the scholarship requirements.

Can I apply if I am currently receiving another scholarship/ study loan/ grant?

No. Applicants must not be in receipt of any other scholarship, financial aid, sponsorship, or study grant, nor be under any existing bond or contractual obligation with another organisation.

Can I apply if I have yet to receive my degree offer letter?

Yes. Applicants may submit their application prior to receiving a university offer letter. However, shortlisted applicants will be required to provide the relevant university offer letter during the subsequent stages of the selection process.

Can I upload the provisional results for my pre-university qualification pending the official certificate?

Yes. Applicants may submit provisional results for their pre-university qualification. However, the official document must be provided once it has been issued by the educational institution.

Can I still submit my application after the deadline?

No. Applications received after the application deadline will not be considered.

What are the requirements to fulfill during the period of scholarship?

Scholarship recipients are required to fulfil all coursework, examination, and attendance requirements, while maintaining a minimum CGPA of 3.30 each semester to remain eligible for the continuation of the scholarship.

What is a Surety and who can be my Surety?

A Surety is an individual who agrees to undertake legal and financial responsibility in the event that the scholarship recipient does not fulfil the terms and conditions of the Scholarship Agreement.

The Surety must be a Malaysian citizen who is above 21 years of age and gainfully employed.

The applicant’s parents, legal guardians, or relatives may serve as a Surety, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirements.

Can I pursue postgraduate studies after graduation before serving the bond?

No. Scholarship recipients are required to commence their employment bond immediately upon completion of their undergraduate studies and fulfil the bond obligation accordingly.

What happens if I change courses or universities after receiving the scholarship?

Scholarship recipients are strongly discouraged from changing their course of study or university after the scholarship has been awarded, as such changes may affect the continuation of the scholarship.

What does the selection process involve?

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend interviews and assessment sessions as part of the selection process.

What documents do I need to submit?

Please refer to the “Required Documents” section on the webpage for the complete list of required documents. Applicants are advised to ensure that all documents are prepared and ready for upload prior to completing the Online Submission Form.

How will I know if my application is successful?

Successful applicants will be notified via phone or email and provided with further details on the subsequent stages of the selection process.
